Version history
What's changed in GPX Tools, newest first. Currently on v1.1.
v1.1
21 Aug 2026- Added a "Link Tree" link format - opens a link tree of all link formats, allowing the user to pick at that moment in time.
- The Link Tree page is cached for offline usage - requires loading the page once with an internet connection.
- Redesigned the Link Tree page as a 3-icon grid with a clear "Page Accessible Offline" badge.
- Added a "Cache Link Tree for offline use" button to the results panel, so you're prompted to warm the cache while still connected.
- Added an option to remove the internal software ID (<src>) some GPX exports include, so a re-imported linked file creates a new route instead of overwriting the original.
- Reordered and renamed the link formats, and added a description for each to the format picker's hint.
- Added a map-pin favicon and a footer credit.
v1.0
14 Aug 2026- Initial release: upload a GPX file, choose which point types to link (route points and/or waypoints), and pick a link format - Google Maps Navigation intent, Android Maps intent, or a Google Maps URL.
- Options to override existing links, rename the output file with a timestamp suffix, and convert tracks into linked route points.
